Wendi has worked in the field of Exceptional Student Education for over 15 years, specifically with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. While working in the classroom, she gained extensive hands-on experience using and teaching the use of technology with students. Wendi attended the University of Central Florida and earned her Master of Education degree in Varying Exceptionalities as well as the Autism Spectrum Disorder endorsement. She also holds a Prekindergarten Disabilities Endorsement. She has been trained in and used PECS (Level 1 & 2) with her students.
Her areas of focus at FDLRS include: Assistive Technology, Instructional Technology, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Significant Cognitive Disabilities
